This is high quality. The shipping box weighs a lot. Its a big spool of wire. I got this to run some wires in my garden that will hang high up about two feet high and to also use as safety wire in my garage door main springs. I think it would also make an awesome (overkill) cloths line, especially it being stainless. This is overkill for certain for both of my uses, but hey, no rust.
The description is accurate and cutting the wire was easy with the included cutter. Its thick so it does require a bit of force to cut with the cutter, but right out of the box solid construction. The cutter also has a lock so you can lock it closed. The cutter makes a super clean cut - thats my cut in the picture with the calipers measuring 1/8". The wire is super shiny, like in a good way because its stainless steel.
I did take an old hard drive magnet and it did stick, so I can't 100% vouch for it being stainless steel without giving it some time in the elements. However if you do a quick google search you'll fine that not all stainless is free of magnatisim. A bunch of formulas are indeed somewhat magnetic. That said, when I compare the amount of force the magnet is held on to with the wire vs the cutters or another metal object, its much less with the wire than any other metal I tried it against. So there are no red flags as to this being anything other than Stainless.
In the end 5 stars, because this is the real deal, good solid wire, good solid spool and a good cutter. It feels like an industrial product. As you handle it, you can tell its real industrial wire and not some cheap crap that you find other places. So all things equal, this is a good solid choice if you are in the market for 1/8" stainless wire.
